Horse Coaching, Online Horse Training and Virtual Horse Training

Kim and Night Reining Competition Dec 2010Horse Coaching and Online Horse Training or Virtual Horse Training
KB Natural Horsemanship now offers an horse coaching and online horse training program for professional tips and advice.  Kim will help you troubleshoot and come up with a customized plan to reach your goals.

    The process is easy:

    1. Video tape your ride.  Put the camera on a fence post or something stable - it's ok if you drift in and out of the frame.  If you don't have a video camera, have someone take photos of your ride and the areas you want help.
    2. Upload the video/photos and email Kim the link along with your comments/notes.
    3. Kim will get back to you with a detailed schooling plan and step by step instructions.
    4. We can discuss, review, and answer questions via email, phone, or IM chat.

Why Horse Coaching and Online Horse Training or Virtual Horse Training?
Kim wanted to make getting professional tips and advice easy for people around the world.  Most everything is virtual these days so why not horse training and riding lessons?  If you have a simple question Kim is happy to help.  If you want a more in-depth approach with advice and lesson plans and want to do it virtually, or are not able to haul your horse to a trainer, this is the way to go.  If you're a member of the following associations this is a great way to get professional assistance from a fellow member!

KB Natural Horsemanship Teams Up with the following associations: IPHDA and ACTHA - see below for details

    IPHDA - www.iphda.com
International Performance Horse Development Authority (IPHDA) is about the development of the performanceIPHDA Logo horse and rider.  Through a series of eight levels, each having their own pattern (some levels have three patterns) and degrees of difficulty the horse and rider build upon their skill-set from the previous level before advancing to the next level.  Horse and rider work on the pattern at home, have a friend video tape them, post the video online and send it in for a judge to review and comment on your performance. They also offer virtual shows where you can compete for cash and prizes.  Just download the pattern, video tape yourself riding the pattern, upload and send the link to the judge before the due date.  After 15 days the judge will announce the placements and IPHDA will pass out the cash and prizes.  In 2008, there were five virtual shows in which over $1,500 was awarded in cash and prizes to the participants.  For 2011, IPDHA has $3,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs in their virtual shows.

    IPHDA Benefits
This is a great way to slowly train yourself and your horse in patterns and reining maneuvers.  Each pattern builds on the previous maneuvers.  You start at slower speeds and build up to faster speeds.

ACTHA was created by Karen VanGetson and Carrie Scrima. They wanted to go to trail competitions close to home that didn't last several days that includedACTHA Logo showing their horse's talent, the beauty of nature and the camaraderie of friends and fun.  No organization existed so they created one together.  Today ACTHA is recognized nationally and 50% of the proceeds go to horse rescues and charities for starving and unwanted horses.
