This page is dedicated to those mentors and friends that helped Kim along her journey in becoming a professional horse woman. THANK YOU!
Teresa Danielson
Kim and Teresa met at J Bar 4 Ranch and formed a vast friendship. Teresa is always there for Kim when she has questions and needs advice. Teresa grew up riding horses and has started several of her own colts and loves the performance sport of reining. Kim and Teresa share a passion for the Arabian horse, as well as the challenge of riding and training horses for trail and reining.
Janice Green
Kim took Janice’s Western Horsemanship program to get back into horseback riding which became the start of an ongoing relationship turned mentorship. After the program had ended and Kim received her certification, Kim continued to take riding lessons at J Bar 4 Ranch. Janice then exposed Kim to the Arabian show world and coached her in how to train and prepare for the shows. Janice offers many different programs and classes at J Bar 4. Kim completed Janice’s ground work program with her gelding Night. She and Night are also currently working through the levels of Janice’s riding program which incorporates pattern work, up and down transitions and each level increases in difficulty of maneuvers and pattern work.
Brad Meyers
Kim and Anna Twinney went to Brad’s Wisdom of the Horse clinic and really liked Brad’s methods and philosophy. Brad then agreed to take Kim on as an apprentice. Kim spent 1.5 years studying with Brad and learning foundation horsemanship. Brad studied with Marty Marten and Buck Brannaman. Brad has expanded his business to include Operation Silver Spurs which is dedicated to providing Veterans the opportunity to experience the power of partnership with horses.

Lisette Zandzoort
Kim met Lisette at J Bar 4 Ranch and they went to the Arab shows together. Lisette started her own horse training business called LZ Horse Training. Lisette offered Kim a position in her business to ride and train horses in 2008 while Lisette went to South Dakota to study reining training with Don Ulmer. Lisette is a great friend as well as a wonderful mentor not only for horse training, but also in helping Kim with running and managing a horse business.
